The inter-operability between Microsoft applications and sigXP® is very smooth, and offers an ability to develop integrated solutions that is extremely powerful.
sigXP® provides a uniform and consistent way for a multi-line p&c insurance brokerage to manage its business information in a manner that is client-focused and user friendly. It also provides the flexibility to permit a brokerage to organize its information by operating unit or department depending on the specific needs of the operation. The base organizational unit is at the Database layer. Within the database, a business can be subdivided into Divisions. Divisions can then be subdivided into departments or could be designated as remote offices – the real driver in this decision point is the way in which fiscal reporting is desired.
Ability to open multiple client/policy screens at one time - The number of client or policy screens that may be opened at one time is only defined by the processing power of the workstation – sigXP® does not introduce any limitation in this area. Also, there is no speed reduction caused by having numerous client screens open at any given time. This is a unique strength in sigXP® and is not necessarily available in other systems currently available in Canada.

sigXP® is the only broker management system in use today in the Canadian market that runs on the SQL™ server database. In fact, we’ve been using SQL™ to power sigXP® since 1993. The power and flexibility of the database is a key success factor when it comes to getting the performance and information you want from a program.
sigXP® runs on the Windows 2003 operating system and uses Microsoft SQL 2005 as its database. As a true Windows application, sigXP® functions and feels like any other Microsoft Windows applications. SigXP integrates with MS Word (Letter Writer) and MS Excel (Export from Report generator) at the desktop level.
SQL™ allows our clients to get direct access to the data they are storing in sigXP® so that they have the information they need to make decisions.
